VDEUNU is a twice displaced university (in 2014 and 2022), which is actively engaged not only in providing educational services and research activities, but also implementing its third mission in the communities it is operating in. Recently because of the war and temporary occupation of Luhansk region, the VDEUNU had again to relocate and to restore its activities. This time, besides institutional recovery, the staff became actively engaged in recovery of war-affected communities. The active engagement of academic staff and students in these processes resulted into creation of Resource Centre for Sustainable Development, which became a good institutionalized practice of SDGs application on the local level. In the project except others common duties, the university will be responsible for organizing the training for trainers, design of strategic plan of actions to support project results sustainability. Today VDEUNU operates in Kyiv and provides BSc, MSc and PhD programs in various specialties presented by 8 faculties.
