Research on the potential of HEIs in the field of sustainable development study

The quality and effectiveness of knowledge is a guarantee and a key prerequisite for Ukraine’s post-war recovery and is achieved through the development of competencies for sustainable management and leadership. The SUSTED project aims to promote the introduction of new elements in the education system, adapted to the Sustainable Development Goals and based on innovative technologies and teaching methods, improved curricula, best European educational practices and standards, which allow achieving a synergistic effect in obtaining students’ competencies in the field of sustainable development.

Recognizing the importance of dialogue with stakeholders and students, the SUSTED project team is initiating a survey to determine the range of competencies aimed at ensuring sustainable development management and identify the necessary educational components. The target groups of respondents are students and teachers of Ukrainian partner universities (Polissia National University, West Ukrainian National University, Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian University, National University of Chernihiv Polytechnic, Podilskyi State University), representatives of business, public sector, and government agencies. The results of the survey, with the advisory support of project partners from EU countries (The Hague University of Applied Science (the Netherlands), WSEI University (Poland), Danubius University (Slovakia), IDEA College (Malta)) will serve as the basis for the development of a combined course on “Sustainable Development Management”, which is one of the elements of the ERASMUS+ CBHE project “Education for Sustainable Development: Synergy of Competencies for the Recovery of Ukraine”. The survey will be conducted using the functionality of the ArcGIS 123 platform.

We invite you to participate in shaping the vision of the structure and content of the future course “Sustainable Development Management” by following the link:
